Letterkenny, the largest town in County Donegal, is constantly growing and changing. Whilst several old buildings have been tumbled in recent years due to this continued growth, you might be surprised to discover that Letterkenny still retains many interesting buildings in its street architecture that have survived the wrecking ball of development. Join us as we discover what has gone and what has remained as we compare the town of today with historic photos from the not so distant past, meeting some of the many businesses and people that have helped to turn Letterkenny into the thriving town it is today.
Kieran Kelly is a primary school teacher whose previous book “Letterkenny: Where the Winding Swilly Flows” was published in 2014. He has also written four plays: Echoes of Time (2011), Beneath an Irish Sky (2018), Dramateurs (2020) and a new play coming soon, The Evicted (2020). Kieran is Chairman of the Letterkenny Historical Society and a member of the Donegal Historical Society.
